Teen Adventure Bound Program

June 4, 2008 Pleasant Hill, Iowa
Those entering grades sixth through ninth in the fall of 2008 are eligible for a chance to challenge themselves, and build cooperation and communications skills while working during the Teen Adventure Bound program . During the week long experience at Adventure Learning Center located at Southeast Polk Community School District, students will be able to develop their skills of team building, using resources in nature, providing assistance, and gaining the knowledge of cooperation and communication.

Students will be able to utilize skills while participating with others during activities such as: Art and Nature, a community service project at Homestead, Pizza and Pool Party, and many more activities. “Student will be able to have a great experience communicating with their team and utilizing the skills that they learn during the week.”

     Program Dates: Cost for program:
June 23-27, 2008 (co-ed) Altoona Campus Members: $125
July 7-11, 2008 (girls) General Public : $150
July 14-18, 2008 (boys)

After the program has ended students will walk away knowing how to read a compass, use and understand a GPS device, and set goals. They will meet new friends and come away having participated in many group activities while utilizing the low challenge course. This is a great way for students to get involved, learn skills for future experiences, and meet new friends.
